Haley Lewis

Haley Lewis is a visual artist from Prince Edward Island. she received a BA in Anthropology from UPEI in the late 1980's and studied visual arts at the College of the North Atlantic in Stephenville, Newfoundland. She has been greatly inspired by the beautiful environment of her home since beginning her painting career almost 20 years ago.
A desire to expand her scope of vision has since led her to travel to many countries. As young woman, Ms. Lewis travelled extensivley throughout southern Europe and a solo trip to India and Nepal in 2000, left lasting impressions on her. These travels and experiences led to exhibitions both in Canada and in France.
She has been teaching in Bejing for the last three years, and true to her nature, travelling to remote areas all over China, drawing and painting whenever time has allowed. She is presently involved in series of paintings inspired by her recent travels in China.
